Christmas... in July?

Yep, you read that right! Since it's CHA week, most companies are coming out with their Christmas collections right now! It just seems too early for me, but I thought I would run with the idea!

My husband tells me every year to get started on making my Christmas cards in the Summer so I don't have to cram that into my schedule a week before Christmas. You would think it would be just that simple considering there is an abundance of new Christmas paper out, right? Yeah.. not so simple for me!

So this year, since I was crafting projects for a few booths at CHA, I decided to at least get a head start on a box to hold my Christmas Cards! I'm sure that has to count for something!

I used the new Handmade Holiday paper collection from Simple Stories, and of coarse, some very festive Timeless Twine in Olive GreenCherry Red, and Kraft Brown. I also added some lovely ribbon from the Really Reasonable Ribbon store.

Thanks for stopping by today! I hope I was able to inspire you to get a little head start on your Christmas projects... it is only 5 months away you know! ;-)

Have you checked out the RRR Ribbon club yet? This month on our hop we are featuring ribbons from the ribbon club assortment shown below:

Make sure you CLICK HERE to become a member of the awesome RRR Ribbon club!

Now on to my project...

Ok, ok... I know that the red, white, & blue assortment SCREAMS July 4th and patriotic, but I dare to be different as usual... To me, I see reds and blues as Summer picnic colors and I just had to use them in a different way!

I took one of my latest goodwill finds and made some home decor out of it. I absolutely LOVE the new Summer Fresh line by Simple Stories, it screams picnic! So I paired it up with a few ribbons from this month's ribbon club assortment.

I used the smaller red & blue ribbons to tie at the bottom of my rosettes and make them look like flowers.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Now hop along and see what Debbie has in store for you today!

5 Things I ♥ About You

What a lazy Sunday it's been for me! I've had allergies bugging me all weekend so I decided to take it easy! However, I am managing to get this post finished because I really want to share this mini album that I made this week!

The first monthly Challenge is going on over on the Really Reasonable Ribbon blog, the challenge is Black, White, & one accent color. When I saw the challenge I immediately thought HELLO! Yellow!!! I am on a yellow kick lately, maybe because I'm anxious for sunshine & summertime?

I used the "Carolina Breeze" collection from Teresa Collins. I have been holding on to this paper for a little while now because I knew I wanted to use it for some of my black & white wedding photos. I was married on the beach in North Carolina, so of coarse the papers went hand in hand with my photos!

The little envelopes & the title on the front of the album are from the Little Yellow Bicycle Swoon collection. They are the "5 Things Envelopes" which are really awesome to use in mini albums! They have these in each of their collections, so so cute!

I used a lot of various "Petite Type" stickers from Authentique throughout the album. These come in handy! Great for subtitles & little words!

Make sure you also check out my post on the Basically Bare blog from earlier in the week! I used tons of Basically Bare products, including the album itself!

Thanks for stopping by today! ♥

I've been hanging on to a 6x6 "Splash" pad by Echo Park for a while and this was the perfect project to use it on!

Sunset Beach ♥

Sunset Beach, North Carolina... one of my favorite places on earth. Why, you ask? I guess it's just one of those places that has a lot of sentimental value to me. Such a small little town with so much to offer!

Yep, you guessed it! My husband and I were married there on September 17, 2010. The sunset was something else! Such a beautiful moment and I am so thankful that I have several fabulous photos that captured it! I know I've done a layout with this photo before, but I couldn't help doing another one, I just love it so much!

The Prairie Hill collection by Pink Paislee goes beautifully with some of my wedding photos! Also, I purchased the Epiphany Crafts heart 25 shape tool over the weekend, LOVE IT!!!

I ended up picking up the sweet little Petaloo Hydrangeas which were the perfect finishing touch to this page!

Thanks for stopping by! Make sure you check out my post on the Really Reasonable Ribbon blog today! ♥

For today, I wanted to share with you a little card that I made. I've been in such a "Springy" mood and this months ribbons fit well with my mood!

I recently picked up the new "Dear Lizzy Neapolitan" papers... yum! They are so pretty! I just love the color scheme! This paper went hand in hand with the ribbons for March!

The stamps that I used on this sweet little card are from the Coconut Lime Soup stamp set from Unity Stamp Co.

Sweet Baby Boy Mini Album

Happy Monday everyone and Happy President's day! I was triple booked today, so once you leave here, make sure you show some love toAuthentique Paper, Sweet Stamps Shop, and Really Reasonable Ribbon if you haven't already!

I decided that since I was triple booked, I would combine 3 of my favorite companies into one fabulous mini paper bag album!

My neighbor had a baby not too long ago and asked if I could make her a mini album for all of the baby pics she's acquired thus far... I wish I would have had this idea when my daughter was a newborn!

Here's a side view, I didn't take photos of the inside, but there are TONS of places for her to store her sweet little baby photos.

She wanted the baby's name on the cover, so I decided to stamp it on one of the clouds and emboss it with sparkle glitter embossing powder, though I can never seem to capture the pretty sparkles when I take photos of my projects!

I am also entering this one for the Touch Marker Challenge
I only own a few Touch Markers so far and it's not a requirement to enter, so I used Copics since I had them in the colors I needed. The Copic colors that I used to color these cute critters were B00, G24, E25, E33, & I blended them all with my colorless blender. The challenge theme for this challenge is Animals.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Happy Wednesday! I just wanted to share one of my projects that I made for CHA. This one is using the new Delightful line by Authentique.

I made this little altered set of wooden drawers for my daughter. She is anxious to get it back from CHA so she can display it in her room :-)

A Very Valentine Mini Album

Hello my wonderful crafty friends! I completely spaced out this week (been really busy trying to get projects together to ship off for CHA) and I forgot to post this mini album & challenge!!!

Twice a month there is a fabulous themed challenge over on the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog. The theme for the challenge going on now is "Valentine's Day". So here is my little mini album that I made for the challenge:

I used some K & Co Valentine papers & embellishments on this that I had stashed from a few years ago. I really like the papers, too bad I'm a hoarder and sometimes I forget what I have in my stash ;-)

If you want to join in on the challenge for a chance to win some fun prizes, CLICK HERE for more details!

Family Mini Album

Happy Monday everyone! I just wanted to share another mini album that I made for my post today on the Really Reasonable Ribbon blog.

This is an itty bitty mini album. It's only 3x3 in size! It's hard to tell that from photos, but it's tiny! I am really addicted to making these because they are so quick & easy to make! All you need are the cute little paper bags that you can find in the party section of your local craft store.

The papers that I used are from Authentique's "Splendid" collection. I really ♥ the variety of colors in this collection!

Thanks for stopping by today!

Deck the Halls with Burlap!

Happy Friday everyone! Are you all prepared for Christmas NEXT WEEK??? My how this year has just flown by! I know I say that every year at this time. I'm still not ready for Christmas and don't know if I will be even next week! I meant to make this post earlier, but with everything going on, it slipped my mind!

Last month I entered one of my new favorite challenges, the May Arts monthly challenge! The Ribbon Lady picks 25 entrants for each challenge and sends them a set of ribbon, the challenge is that you have to use every ribbon on your project. This month the challenge was using Burlap. I usually don't use a lot of burlap, but I had a lot of fun with this one!

I decided to go with a rosette wreath. I got my new Silhouette Cameo this week and wanted to play with it. The rosettes are from an svg file that I found at Lettering Delights. The fun & festive paper that I used is from Basic Grey's Jovial line.

Here's a close up and a side view:

This is also my project for the Really Reasonable Ribbon "Anything Goes" challenge! Make sure you check it out and get your project entered HERE! Also, if you're interest in these ribbons/burlap, check out Really Reasonable Ribbon! Bonnie offers some of these in her store!

Thanks for stopping by today! Have a great weekend!

For today, I wanted to share with you a little project for Christmas! I posted something similar last week when we did the recipe/baking projects on the RRR blog, and since I did a lot of baking, I wanted to make another little gift with my food/ribbon :-)

I had this cute little tin here in my craft room and added some of the beautiful winter white ribbons to it. The food inside is Oreo Snowballs, mine look kind of like dirt balls, but they were equally delicious! :-)

Now hop along and see what Jeanne has in store for you today!
