Love is In The Air!

Woo hoo! I'm Guest Designing on the Sweet Stamp Shop Blog today! My SWEET friend Nicole (owner and designer of SSS) asked me if I could feature an older (but very popular) SSS set today, so I grabbed the stamp set and started thinking of ideas.

When I first looked at the Sentimental Birds stamp set, I think oh, yes, I can make a sympathy card with this! Not today! I wasn't feelin' sympathy. So I decided to break out the new "Irresistible" paper collection from Authentique Paper. It IS the beginning of wedding season after all, right?!

Here's what I came up with!

I had one of my wedding photos left over from another top secret project that I was working on with this paper collection as well as some scraps... so I grabbed a piece of MDF type board that I had cut and went to town!

This project is one that needs to be displayed on a plate stand since it's just a flat piece of board, but it makes a very elegant decor piece.  It's a very nice & inexpensive wedding/anniversary gift idea!

I just love the little sentiments in this stamp set. So petite but yet so perfect!

I had some more scraps, so I also decided to make a little card.

Aren't those little birds darling? I think they go perfectly with the Love/Wedding/Anniversary theme!

The great thing is that you can do SO much more with this stamp set! Don't forget to stop by the Sweet Stamp Shop and pick yours up today!

Thanks for stopping by today!

Big Dreams, Bright Lights

Today is new release day over at Sweet Stamp Shop! I'm so excited that I was able to create a project for this new release!

When I first saw this stamp set, I HAD to have it. It's seriously one of those "must haves" for your stamp stash! I always try to create something different since most stampers create cards.....
So I got out my stamps, paper, markers, glitter, etc and started playing...

I decided to make a mini album! I created this mini album with paper lunch bags, I call this a waterfall album. I knew I wanted to do this type of album to showcase the cityscape on different levels.

The paper that I used is from DCWV's Everlasting Love stack. The elegant black & white scheme and the foils in this paper were PERFECT for this project!

Be sure to stop by the Sweet Stamp Shop blog today to see the full City Scape stamp set as well as another new release set!

A Colorful Canvas

Today is finally the day that I get to feature my last February project for Imagine Crafts! Also, I'm a guest designer over on the Sweet Stamp Shop blog, so I figured I'd combine the two with an EXTRA sweet project!

I decided that my craft room needed a little color added to it and the new "Color Wheel" stamp set by Sweet Stamp Shop was calling my name!

I am in love with the Imagine Crafts Fireworks sprays, so I wanted to create a project using all of the colors that I possibly could. I ended up going with a fun little 4x4 canvas. It was really simple to create! I even made a tutorial so that you could create your own too!

Gather your supplies. You will need lots of colorful Fireworks Sprays, some fun stamps, stazOn ink, and a blank canvas

This step is optional, but if you want to lay a template over your canvas, you can do so. Spritz randomly with all of your Fireworks colors.

Don’t forget to spray the edges!

My first take on the template didn’t work, the colors bled together, so I tried it again.  Set your canvas aside and let it dry completely.

Next, get out your StazOn, a sentiment stamp, and some plastic. I used some plastic packaging that I found in my wastebasket. Stamp sentiment onto the plastic and set aside to dry.

You can stamp another fun image from the stamp set with StazOn onto a plain piece of white cardstock. Spritz wildly with your fireworks.

Once everything has completely dried, add it to your canvas. Embellish with ribbons, bling, etc.

Welcome to Day 3 of Sweet Stamp Shop's November release! If you came from the Sweet Stamp Shop blog, you're on the right track!

Today's new release set is called "Afternoon Delights" some of you may have seen this set or already have the set if you subscribe to the Paper Made Bakery kit club. It's a really adorable set!

I like to drink tea, I also love to try new flavors of tea. I know this time of year, people get sick with a cold or sore throat, so I thought that it would be cute to make a little gift bag to give with a couple of different flavored tea bags inside.

Here's a close up of the cute little tag.

Sweet Stamp Shop November Release: Day 2!

Welcome to Day 2 of Sweet Stamp Shop's November release! If you came from the Sweet Stamp Shop blog, you're on the right track!

Today's new release set is called "Simple Sentiments" and I have a feeling that I will be getting A LOT of use out of this set!

My daughter's birthday is in a few weeks, so I thought I would go ahead and make a tag to stick on one of her gift bags. She LOVES purple.... and I love teal, so I used that for my inspiration and added in some lime green to make it "pop!"

Can yu tell that I am totally loving these dylusions mists? I have been using them on almost every stamping project lately!

I also loaded my little tag with LOTS of ribbon from May Arts! I love all of their ribbons, so easy to just add to a project and great to embellish with!

Now hop along to see what Kari has in store for you today!

So for today... I made a project that I could use on my journey...

I have a bunch of SMASH books laying around that I have yet to alter... so I grabbed up the Green "Eco" smash book and altered the cover. I really liked all of the pages inside and they felt like they would go with this type of book. I cannot wait to get started on the inside! Now I will have a keepsake to look back at my journey, because as we all know, losing weight and changing your lifestyle IS NOT an easy thing to do!

In ♥ with Neon Chic!

Happy Friday to you all! I've had a rough week, I've been under the weather so crafting has been a challenge for me. However, I'm on the mend, so everything is looking up! I was able to get a few projects finished to share today.

Since I was feeling kind of down from the weather and being sick, I reached for my DCWV Neon Chic stack and I fell in love! This stack totally fits my style and my personality and I love all of the bright fun colors! If you don't own this stack... you should! The creamy smooth texture of the paper is amazing!

I made this layout with a little instagram pic that I took of my daughter on her very first school picture day this year for pre-school. I love the little instagram pics, they are great for a quick layout!

When I finished the layout, I realized something was missing... so I got out some neon washi tape and started playing...

Viola! Washi tape flowers! How cute are these?!? They were so easy to make! I can't take credit, I did find a video on youtube, but still... they turned out pretty adorable!

Of coarse, I wasn't done playing with Neon Chic! I had to make something with my scraps!

I painted some toilet paper rolls with my neon acrylic paint because I wanted to make a fun little tp roll album. The paint was kind of sheer so I had to add several coats.

Isn't this the cutest? I LOVE the new Geek Chic stamp set from Sweet Stamp Shop!

None of my albums would be complete without the addition of LOADS of pretty ribbons from May Arts! Always one of my favorite ways to embellish... lots of ribbons!

Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you all enjoy your weekend!

Sweet Stamp Shop New Release Blog Hop Day 2!

Welcome to Day 2 of Sweet Stamp Shop's October release! If you came from the Sweet Stamp Shop blog, you're on the right track!

For my project today... I decided to dig into my stash of embellishments. Have you ever ordered one of those warehouse boxes from a manufacturer and got all of these cool embellishments and then look into the box and don't see any coordinating papers? Well, this has happened to me a few times, so instead of tossing out the embellishments, I decided to make something with them and pair it with one of the new stamp sets!

Today's new release set is called "Holiday Sentiments".... so I paired an appropriate sentiment with the Pink Paislee Snow Day ephemra from the warehouse box that I got over the summer.

Super cute, right? I love sentiment sets because you can pair them up with pretty much anything and the possibilities are endless!

I originally wanted to make a tag album... but as I was searching the Silhouette store, I found a crayon box and got an idea... so I stretched the box a little to fit the tags that I had in my stash.

I left the tags blank so I could add some winter photos this year of the kids playing in the snow... if we actually get snow this year!

Be sure to stop back by  for each day of the hop! We have some great project inspiration and some prizes to give away! Now hop right along and see what Laurel has created today!
