12 Days of Christmas!

Eek! I've been so busy working on stuff for JAFDT's 12 days of Christmas that I have neglected my blog! So sorry blog buddies! Christmas is a very busy time of year for me!

Let me start off by announcing Just A Few Design Team's 12 Days of Christmas challenge that started TODAY on ebay! Each day our team members will be listing a new item with a different Christmas theme every day! So it's something completely different every day for 12 days!



Day 1 is Angels. This one was really hard for me! I have NOTHING Angels in my stash of goodies, so I came up with this album. It has a quote on the front about Angels and also has some angel wings and other festive holiday embellishments throughout the album. To see the whole album on ebay, CLICK HERE.

JAFDT Card Challenge & Sale!

This week Just A Few Design Team had a card challenge, I'm not much of a cardmaker, but it was fun to try something different! I decided to do a Tropical themed Christmas card using my Close To My Heart Tropical Christmas stamps. The front features a Surfing Santa and says "Mele Kalikimaka" which means Merry Christmas.

Technique Tuesday

As I was working on an album last night, I realized that I had the PERFECT tutorial for Technique Tuesday! A few months ago, my friend Elsa posted a tutorial on how to make paper leaves. Now I'm not really one to make my own embellishments, but buying prima flowers and leaves has gotten expensive and they don't always match my projects perfectly. So last night I attempted making my own! As you can see from the photo, my scrap area is a mess, but I have my own matching leaves and a few beautiful matching paper flowers for my project! Check out this video tutorial on how to make your own paper leaves! It's simple, you can make them out of your scraps, and they add a perfect finishing touch to your flowers!

Today I'm starting yet another new thing here on CreateSerendipity.net, Feature Friday's! Every Friday I'm going to pick a handmade item that I find beautiful & worth recognition!

Just A Few Design Team!

I am pleased to announce that I am now part of a very new up and coming design team on eBay, Just A Few Design Team! My friend Elsa of Just A Few Paper Designs decided to start a new goal oriented group that thrives on promoting, selling, and friendship. Elsa wanted to start a new diverse team where each member focuses on mainly one medium. My medium or specialty of corse is paper bag albums, so I will be the PBA maker in the group!
