Autumn All-in-One Envelope/Note Card

Happy Fall ya'll! It's gotten quite cold here in Ohio and we've even seen our first snow already! Yes that's right, I said the dreaded S word! The crisp air had me excited to create Fall projects.

I am in LOVE with DCWV's new Pumpkin Patch stack. The rich colors are perfect for this time of year! I created this cute little envelope/note card to share today. This was so easy to make! I'm going to share how you can create this yourself!

Start out by cutting your envelope template. You can use any square die and a decorative edge die. You will need 2 squares and one with a decorative edge for the envelope flap.

Roll out some color onto your envelope with a brayer and Kaleidacolor pad. Ink edges with an ink blusher by coordinating colors from the ink pad.

Tape the shapes together with washi tape. You may need to cut the shapes down a little so they fold inside each other like an envelope.

Cut the same shapes with patterned paper and adhere to inside.

Mist some bare embellishments with coordinating Fireworks colors.

Glue ribbon to a smaller piece of paper and add to the bottom part of the envelope. Add between the flap and patterned paper as well. This way you can tie your envelope shut.

So simple, right? These would make perfect little place cards on a Thanksgiving table.

You can even leave a little note inside for your guests and let them know why you are Thankful for them!

Thanks for stopping by today!

DCWV Glam Rock Mini Album

I LOVE bright colors as I am a very colorful person. When I received the Glam Rock Stack from DCWV, I was very excited to see a stack full of such fun colors.

Here's a look at the stack cover.

I decided that I wanted to make a mini album with this stack because I wanted to incorporate lots of different ribbons to pull in the pretty colors.

I also made a little step by step to show you how to re-create this project:

Gather your supplies. You will need a Basically Bare Tiny Tabs mini album, patterned paper, and some ribbon.

I love this mini album because it’s small enough to fit wallet photos in and it has these really neat tabbed acrylic pages.

Cut your paper to fit the album. For this album I cut them down to 2 ¾ x 5 inches.

Adhere your paper to the pages.

Cut out shapes from the cut apart sheet in the stack.

Once you get the extra pieces cut and placed on your cover, add coordinating ribbon to the spine.

Once you have all of the ribbon added, you can add some gem stickers to add a little dimension.

I cut some tabs out of patterned paper to add to the inside tabbed pages.

Add the tabs & left over gem stickers to your acrylic pages.

Thanks for stopping by!

I {Heart} Summer Tags

Woo hoo! The weekend is here! It's not just any ordinary weekend... it's Memorial Day weekend... aka the "unofficial" kickoff to summer!

I decided to create some fun & festive Summer themed tags with the new Simple Stories I {Heart} Summer collection to share today. I love making tags, but I never know what to do with them. Sure, you can attach them to a gift, they get ripped off and thrown aside... after spending so much time creating a single tag, it really deserves more attention!

I added some of the Simple Stories Sn@p! pockets to my tags to give them a dual purpose.

These tags can be used as a regular tag, attached to a card, used as a card themselves, used as a gift card holder, or you could even add a little card or note and slip it into the pockets.

I used the standard #8 shipping tags and then covered them with patterned paper & stitched around them with my sewing machine.

I also thought that adding lots of pretty trims would make these tags fun.

Thanks for stopping by today! Enjoy your weekend!

Sweet Shower Gifts for a Baby Girl

Have you ever needed a last minute Baby shower gift and didn't have time to run to the store for one? That has happened to me soooo many times! When I got the new DCWV Baby Girl stack, I knew that I wanted to make a few baby shower bundles that were ready to give to the new mommy-to-be. Time doesn't always allow me to run out and buy a shower gift, and handmade is always the better route in my opinion.

So here's my little baby shower bundle. I made a paper bag mini album, a door hanger, and a card.

I love these little door hangers! I bought a pack of wooden hangers from Wal-Mart for a couple of dollars. They are nice to keep in the alterable items drawer. I think they make wonderful gifts, plus, my daughter always wants me to make her a new one for her door.

This would be perfect for a baby girl's nursery decor. Pretty & pink!

I love making albums out of paper bags. I always have a rather large stash of paper bags. They are the most fun mini album to make because you have so many hidden pockets for journaling tags and extra photos.

I always add lots of coordinating ribbons to my projects. May Arts ribbons are the absolute best! The ribbons that I chose go really well with all of the bright colors in this stack too!

I also made a little card. If you are giving away a gift, obviously it would be nice to attach a card, so why not have one that matches the rest of the gift?

Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you were inspired to get a jump start on some gift bundles!

Do All Things with Love

I've been on a tp roll mini album kick here lately. I just love making them! This particular one I played with a lot of new products to create it. I just LOVE how it turned out! Perfect for Spring, Mother's day, or just every day photos.

I used some new products that I received from Art Anthology on this cute little album. To paint the base (tp rolls), I used AA Sorbet in Sand Dune. I really love the sorbet, it's kind of like a thick paint with chunky glitter. Really pretty! I also used the sorbet on the little clear acrylic bird, the color that i used was Viridian. I really love this color and it brings out the pretty greens in this paper collection. Another AA product that I tried on this project was the colorations spray in "Juicy" it's just a mist but it's not shimmery, so it's a good way to dye ribbons or embellishments that are plain. I used it on the little orange bird and the orange ribbon flower.

Isn't the paper collection that i used beautiful? I am not at all a fan of pastel colors. Spring is my least favorite season to craft simply because pastels don't work well with me. This paper however, I love. It's from the Sweet Blossom stack from DCWV.

Of coarse, what mini album of mine wouldn't be complete without LOADS of ribbon fro May Arts! Seriously, May Arts has the best ribbon around, hands down. I think I'm kind of a ribbon snob now, I won't even look at the craft store ribbons! lol

I also decided to use this beautiful paper for a layout as well. I had a few scraps from the mini album and I hate to waste pretty paper!

I love printing instagram pics from postalpix.

I decided to use a little candid pic of my daughter and I. These little pics are always good for something!

Lastly, I made a little card with some of the other scraps. I couldn't resist adding a little bird.

Thanks for stopping by!
