Sunset Beach ♥

Sunset Beach, North Carolina... one of my favorite places on earth. Why, you ask? I guess it's just one of those places that has a lot of sentimental value to me. Such a small little town with so much to offer!

Yep, you guessed it! My husband and I were married there on September 17, 2010. The sunset was something else! Such a beautiful moment and I am so thankful that I have several fabulous photos that captured it! I know I've done a layout with this photo before, but I couldn't help doing another one, I just love it so much!

The Prairie Hill collection by Pink Paislee goes beautifully with some of my wedding photos! Also, I purchased the Epiphany Crafts heart 25 shape tool over the weekend, LOVE IT!!!

I ended up picking up the sweet little Petaloo Hydrangeas which were the perfect finishing touch to this page!

Thanks for stopping by! Make sure you check out my post on the Really Reasonable Ribbon blog today! ♥

Sweet Stamp Shop & May Arts!

Happy Thursday!

Have you all been enjoying all of the sweet projects over on the Sweet Stamp Shop blog this week? We've teamed up with one of my all time favorite ribbon companies, May Arts!

Here's the sweet project that I came up with...
This past weekend at the Memories Scrapbook Expo I helped with Make & Takes at the Cord Camera Scrapbook Studio booth. We taught how to make the most adorable little owls, so of coarse, I had to make one of my own for this little project!

I initially was going to make a gift bag, but was fresh out of gift bags! So instead, I altered a little lunch sack. I used a versa-mark stamp pad and stamped images to make a nice little background.

I just love the little owl, it's a great way to use up ribbon scraps too!

Melvin & Vernie like their new Owl friend too :-)

For my little project, I used the Melvin & Vernie stamp set... you know them, right?

Who wouldn't love those adorable little owls!

Make sure you check out the Sweet Stamp Shop & May Arts blogs this week for more inspiration!

Time Is Precious... Waste it Wisely! ♥

Isn't that an awesome quote? So so true though! I thought it was PERFECT for my little project I have to share today!

I have had a couple of canvas albums stashed in my drawer for a while now, and finally, I got the courage to get one out and alter it! Have you ever done one of these? If not, you should! They are so much fun! I started out by glimmer-misting the whole thing with several different colors. I know, scary, right? I'm always afraid that I might ruin something, but that's what crafting is all about... trial and error, right?

Once I added, subtracted, painted, misted some more, and glued everything into place, I was left with this fabulous mini album that I LOVE! Take a look at the inside...

So cute, right? I rarely scrap my own photos, but I have been hanging onto these precious photos waiting for the perfect moment to scrap them. When I got Little Yellow Bicycle's Saturday's collection, I KNEW it would be perfect for this project!

The photos in this album are from my cousins wedding this past September. My little Reagan was a flower girl. She and the sweet little Ring Bearer pretty much stole the show. They were just so adorable and made for perfect photos! I never thought that my daughter would be chasing boys at the age of 4, but she sure proved me wrong that day! It was cute though, so I can't complain ♥

Thanks for stopping by today! I hope I was able to inspire you to maybe try something new!

Make sure you check out all of the fabulous "Saturday's" projects on the Cord Camera Scrapbook Studio Blog!

Oh, and one more thing... did you see that Jinger Adams is having a design team call? I am so curious to see her new line of products! I'm sure they will be fabulous because she is one awesome lady! If you are crafty, make sure you check out her DT call! I have a feeling it's one you don't want to miss out on! ;-)

Happily Ever After

Happy Monday!!! It's a BEAUTIFUL start to the week here in southern Ohio! We are supposed to reach temperatures in the 80's again today! Makes me want to head to the beach :-)

Speaking of beach... I made a couple of layouts yesterday using photos from our beach wedding... I cannot stop scrapping these photos, they are all so beautiful!

I made this layout using Little Yellow Bicycle's Swoon collection. Have yo seen this new collection yet? It's BEAUTIFUL!!! So great for black & white wedding photos!

I just LOVE this photo! I wanted it to be the main focus of a page because it's just so beautiful, and it's also very special to me ♥ It's not just black and white, I don't know if you can tell here, but there is a small little splash of color which makes it even more beautiful.

I found some little black Prima "Say It With Crystals" that I had been saving and they were perfect for this layout!

I just LOVE the Paper Flower Kits from Little Yellow Bicycle! I like to make paper flowers and rosettes, but these make it so much easier because everything is right there bundled in one little bag! PERFECT!

Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you have a wonderful day!

Happy Girls are the Prettiest ♥

Happy Sunday crafty friends!!! Today felt like a nice day to make a layout, I'm so happy that I decided to do so!

Isn't is beautiful? I just love Little Yellow Bicycle's "Paradise" collection! The colors and elements are PERFECT!

I just love the quote!

The colors in the papers were the perfect match for some of my beachy wedding photos. I wanted to showcase a few pictures that were taken of my daughter and I. It was her first trip to the ocean, so she was very excited and just in awe!

I love my new Epiphany Crafts pennant shape tool! It's pretty awesome and a great way to showcase some of the patterned papers that I didn't get to use much of in this layout.

Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you all have a lovely day! It's nice and sunny here in my neck of the woods, so I'm heading outside for the rest of the day to enjoy the weather! ♥

Authentique March Sketch Challenge

Happy Saturday! Are you ready for a fun new sketch challenge this month? Make sure you stop by the Authentique Paper blog today for a new sketch and loads of inspiration from the fabulous design team!

Now this month's sketches are near and dear to my heart... yep, they were designed by yours truly! ♥

I decided to make a layout this month using papers from the "Loyal" collection.

Now I know this paper was designed to make boy projects... but when I saw the "Cousins" sticker, I knew I HAD to make a page featuring one of my lovely cousins!

This is Amber, she's about a year and a half older than me and she and I have been like sisters ever since we were born. I have always looked up to her. This photo is from her wedding reception in 2010 (she had a destination wedding in Cabo, so we were only able to make it to the reception). Isn't she beautiful? ♥

So true! I love love love this quote and thus why I thought it would be perfect for this layout.

Make sure you check out this challenge on the Authentique Paper blog and play along!

Hardware? I think so!

Wow, March already? This year is flying by fast!

Today I am a guest designer for Scrapbook Steals on the Scrapbook Steals Blog. I was asked to make some projects using today's steal, We R Memory Keepers Hardware sets. At first I was hesitant because I don't always use hardware on my projects... but I'm glad I said yes! I just LOVE the end results!

My friend has been asking me for a recipe box and matching paper bag album since before Christmas... so FINALLY I was able to whip them up for her.

I used some of my new distress crackle paint along with the BEAUTIFUL Generations paper by Simple Stories.

I especially loved the little nameplates in this hardware set. I added glossy accents to give them a more dimensional look.

My friend loved her gifts. The rustic look matched her home decor perfectly! I think the hardware gave these projects a perfect finishing touch!

Don't forget to stop by the Scrapbook Steals site today to pick up some hardware for yourself!
