Je Taime

Ahhh Love is in the air! With Valentine's Day quickly approaching, I thought I would attempt to make all the love themed albums that I could possibly make! For this album, I wanted to do something a little different. I had in mind for a while that I wanted to do a Paris/French Shabby Chic type of love album, but I had no clue what colors or papers to even use. As I was searching through my large paper stash, I came across these very lovely papers (I do believe they are by Fancy Pants Designs, but I'm not 100% sure), one of the papers had the word "amour" on it and I thought BINGO! That's perfect!!! So there you have it, I put together this stunning album to share with you all. I am very pleased with how it turned out! Oh, and yes, this album is made with paper bags :-)

For those of you who don't know, "Je Taime" means "I Love You" in French. I think it's such a beautiful word and I wanted to play on it throughout the album and give it a French/Paris feel. I used my Gypsy to create the title, and used my Summer in Paris Cricut Cartridge to cut the Eiffel Tower and other cuts throughout the album.

Adding ribbons to the album is not only the last step, but my favorite part of the whole process! I feel that the ribbons that you add compliments the whole design of the album. I don't have a lot of yellow in my stash, but I pulled out all of the yellow that I could here to accent the beauty of the color in this album.

In French, "Lamour" means "Love." This was also cut with the Summer in Paris Cricut Cartridge.

A Dream Is A Wish... Your Heart Makes

Every girl dreams of being a princess, I know I always did. The other day while I was laying in bed daydreaming, I thought of a beautiful idea for an album! I had just bought the most beautiful K&Co paper from Michael's and it featured some of my favorite colors, purple, turquoise, green, and lots of black & white. I ran upstairs and got my Gypsy and started playing around. I've had the Disney Princess cartridges for a while now but never really used them, so finally, now I have! As you can see, I used the Cinderella silhouette in the background and also played with the words. I welded quite a few words together and it was a little hard to cut with the glitter paper, but I think it turned out nice!

The little shoe charm was fitting for this fairy tale princess album.

I tried something a little new with the photo mats and added doubles to the pockets. I also stitched all photo mats throughout the album, this just adds an extra elegant look and feel I think.

I loved this little pin, I have been holding onto it for a while now and thought it fit this album quite well!

You can view this album for sale now in my Ebay HERE

I'm also editing this to add that I'm changing my challenge entry for the Sugar Sweet Paper Treats blog to this one... I like it a lot better than the acrylic. The challenge was to alter something. For this, I altered paper lunch sacks that I had here. Everyone has them laying around, so why not give it a try! The link to the challenge is: http://www.sugarsweetpapertreats.blogspot.com/ :-)

Going to the chappel....

Hey everyone! I am entering a challenge at http://www.sugarsweetpapertreats.blogspot.com/ and thought I'd share these altered Wedding albums with you! These are simple and fun to do and they make wonderful Wedding gifts or albums for your own wedding photos!

As you all know, I got married this past September, so I'm still loving to create wedding themed albums!

The first album is an acrylic album. It's my personal fave because it's very elegant and you can see straight through it and view several layers at once. I purchased an acrylic sheet at Lowe's and had it cut into 6x6 squares. I used staz-on ink on the acrylic sheets (other inks will rub right off), and filled the album with stitched photo spots and other embellishments.

I gave my husband another sheet of acrylic to take to work and cut for me, so look out for more of these album from me soon! :-)

The second Wedding album I want to share is a word book album. You can easily cut these on your Cricut with Chipboard, but this particular one I purchased online and altered it myself. I used Basic Grey's Lilly Kate papers to make this album.
