Love... Laughter... Bliss!

Hey everyone! I'm so excited to share this project with you today! It literally took me all day to do, but once I got started on it, I couldn't stop! I rarely ever do home decor pieces, but I thought I would try something different to mix things up! I LOVE LOVE LOVE how this turned out!

First, let me just say that the inspiration for this project came from the Market Street Stamps Special Anniversary Block Party... I would LOVE to win the grand prize, so I wanted to go over the top with my project! Plus, I used my favorite Market Street Stamp's set, Simple Joys. AND if you want to link up for the block party... it's not too late! Make sure you check out the Market Street Stamps blog to join in on the fun!

So here is what I came up with for my block party project:

This weekend I got a HUGE package of Authentique goodies that I could not wait to get to play with! My box was full of their beautiful new line, "Gathering". Once this line hits stores, I'm sure you all will want to have a stack of it, I mean, it's just a phenomenal color combo, not to mention their papers are fabulous!

A few months ago, I got this dress form from my dear friend Nicole. I wasn't sure what to do with it, so I let it sit on my shelf until I was inspired to decorate it... I didn't want to mess it up! I got out my new Scor-pal and decided to make a dress... as I played with the papers and different folding techniques, I finally came up with the perfect dress! I decided to paint the form first, and then I just kind of went with it.

I was even inspired to decorate the back... I know that you don't always see the backs of these things, but since this was a 3-dimensional object, I thought I better give the back a little something :-)

Here's another close-up. If you click the photos, you can see the project in a larger scale.

Also, another inspiration for this project comes from a site that I'm very new to... Moxie Fab World! This weeks Tuesday Trigger was Finesse the Dress, so I was simply inspired by a dress, and since I had this form sitting here waiting to be altered.... I made me a dress!

And that's all for today! I hope you all liked my project! I normally sell my work in my etsy shop once I'm finished with it, but this one I just cannot part with! It's going to be stored in my bedroom... plus, it matches perfectly! :-)
