Scrappy Birthday Blog Hop!

I’m so happy you are joining us for the very first Scrappy Birthday Blog Hop celebrating April’s favorite color - GREEN! If you are coming from Jennifer's Blog, you’re on the right track. If you just joined us, you can go back to the beginning HERE and hop along with us. We’ve had so much fun doing this hop, and we have a wonderful line up with some oh-so-talented creators. You will see some lovely projects and have a chance to win some blog candy along the way, including a fun grand prize for this hop. This hop runs all day on April 30th, so you have plenty of time to check out each project!

Ok, first, before I show my project, I want to apologize! For those of you who regularly visit my blog, you will see I haven't blogged in a while. Last Tuesday I was admitted to the hospital for pancreatitus caused by gallstones. I ended up staying in the hospital for 5 days and at the end had to have surgery to have my gallbladder removed (they said I had over 150 stones in there!). Not fun! It's been a rough week trying to get back to my normal routine of things here at home. I planned on having a big project for this hop, but unfortunately, due to some unforeseen circumstances, that didn't happen. So I'm very sorry!

Now for my project:

For this project, I started to make a "Happy Birthday" paper bag album, but as you can see, I have finished the cover, but the rest just didn't get done in time! I used the Party Animal Pattern collection from Little Scraps of Heaven Designs for the turtle and the confetti & streamers. The paper I used is from Basic Grey's new line "Life of the Party." Since April likes Green, I tried to jam pack as much green into my project as I could and I thought the little turtle was the perfect finishing touch! And for those of you wanting to see the final finished product, I should have it completed and in my Etsy Shop by next week!

Hope you have a very Happy Birthday April!!! Thanks for letting me celebrate with you!

And Here is the Lineup:
1. April Nourse http://curlsngrins.blogspot.com/
2. Mandie Wade http://mandiesscrappin.blogspot.com/

In order to be eligible for the grand prize you must leave a comment on every blog in the hop and become a follower of April’s blog.

Ohhhh that is so serious! So glad you recovered well. That happened to my husband but he refused to go to the hospital. He told the dr. that I would take care of him (I'm a nurse) Hahaha..........he told me that AFTER the fact! Love your project. It is beautiful. Stay well!
