LSHD Blog Hop- Day 5!

Welcome to Day 5 of the very first Little Scraps of Heaven blog hop. You have reached your third destination on the hop. If you have arrived here from Patricia's Blog then you are on the right track, if you came to my blog and want to join in on the hop, please start HERE. If you missed yesterday's post, you can find it HERE (If you are just starting the hop today, make sure you check out all of my other posts from the previous days and sign up for the blog candy, the drawing will be at the end of the hop and a prize from my blog will be awarded for each day of the hop!).

Like I said yesterday, I've had several projects going on this week that are still unfinished, I'm a day-to-day kind of person so I do my best work last minute! Last night I was feeling a little under the weather and my little one was too, so I'm sorry for such a small project! I usually don't do lots of cards, I'm an album kind of girl. I promise I have more in store, things just didn't work out as planned!

So here's today's project:

I made this little 4x4 card with Bazzil Bling cardstock, and the little Bear in the hat digi stamp is from LSHD and can be found HERE. I loved this little digi stamp and have been wanting to use it for a while. I'm not one who really likes to color, but I thought I'd give it a try! I know the "in" thing is copic markers, well, that's just one thing I don't have and probably will never try, I hear they are expensive!!! I did however buy some prismacolor pencils for my husband (he's quite artsy too!), and I got them out to color this little bear. I recently found a stash of Dr Seuss papers by EK Success that I had from a swap I did a few years ago and they finally came in handy! I added some stitching, ribbon, and a few flowers with bling to finish this card. I hope you all like it!

All of my projects from this weeks blog hop will be listed in my eBay listings or in my etsy shop within the week.

I'm excited about today's giveaway! Celina from Simple Said Cards has been oh so generous to donate a big bunch of goodies for me to give away! If you all haven't checked her out on etsy, you must! I recently got an order of beautiful butterflies & flowers and I cannot wait to use them!!!

Hi, Emily!!

I was so tickled to have you stop by my blog and comment on my cards this morning so I'm here to return the favor! This little guy is just adorable. I've been a fan of Dr. Seuss since I was a kid and that's been a verrry long time, let me tell you! LOL

I love coloring with Prismacolor pencils too. I wish I had a larger set of them. They do require a bit more time to color an image the way I like than Copics do. You're correct in your opinion about the markers being expensive but if you decide you want to try them, you can start out with a basic few and when you catch them on sale, add a few at a time until you have your whole set. I use the Ciao markers which are Copic brand but they are more slender and hold less ink. I have a few of the oval-shaped Copic Sketch and really prefer them but they are more expensive to start out. The good thing is that they are refillable and both styles use the same ink. There are also less expensive alternatives to the Copic brand now too. You might want to check out an online retailer called Carpe Diem. They have just about every kind of marker there is, I think. I have too much much to do to hop today but I'll be popping by to see what you're up to tomorrow.

See ya!

Cute card!! I too haven't tried the copic markers yet b/c of their cost and the fact that I probably wouldn't do anything justice by using them. I love the Dr. Seuss paper... I think I am going to have to search for some of that.
