Now for my project for today!

I posted the teaser pic above yesterday on my facebook page, I know, that was mean of me, huh? ;-) Well, now you can see the full album! I used papers from Graphic 45's "On The Boardwalk" line. Now, if you know me, you know that I'm not a big fan of making vintage albums... well, since I've discovered Graphic 45, I have fallen in love with vintage! Their papers have such beautiful colors and are so easy to work with! These are actually the first Graphic 45 papers that I purchased, I wasn't sure if I would like them or not, so I only ordered an 8x8 stack. That was probably not my best idea! While making this album I think I cut up every single piece of paper in the paper pad! I had a little moment and cut a few wrong sizes... OOPS! So I guess I will use the scraps for some other projects in the near future!

Here is my Beach themed cascading paper bag album, I hope you all like it!

I hope you enjoyed my little project for today! It is now up for purchase in my Etsy Shop!

Now for my project for today! I was very excited when I got a custom order for a beach themed album about a month ago. Beccy wanted a Beach themed chipboard album to send to her family in Germany who came for a visit. She also wanted a page that was asian themed because they visited an asian garden. So I took her suggestions and this is what I came up with...

Made It Myself Mondays!

Happy Monday everyone! I was very excited when I saw that Alex over at You Had Me At Craft announced that she would be doing "Made It Myself Mondays" every week! That just gives me more motivation to start my week and get projects going! If you're interested in joining in, click the button below!

For today's project, I wanted to dig up one of my "oldies but goodies" that I did.

Do you have empty flower jars sitting around just waiting to be filled with something new? Well, alter them and fill them with embellishments!!! I have TONS of these Prima "Got Flowers" jars from years ago and they are perfect for brads and gems and other small embellishments!

First, I picked out some pretty acrylic paints that I wanted to use for the lids. After I painted them and let them dry, I covered them with sparkly nail polish as you can see below:

Second, I picked out the papers that I wanted to use with these (I chose Basic Grey's Urban Prairie line of paper):

Third, I cut the paper down to sized and punched the edges with a border punch. I glued these to the jars and then added some printed off words from my computer. Lastly, I added the finishing touches: ribbon, tags, and of coarse, prima flowers :)

Here you can see my finished product:

I hope you enjoyed this project! Thanks for stopping by!

Disney Trip, anyone?

I've had this chipboard album sitting in my stash for a while (actually... I have 3 of them!), so I finally decided that it was time to put one of these together!

Our Design Team challenge for yesterday over at Little Scraps of Heaven Designs was "All About Family." So we had to make our projects based on the family theme such as vacation, camping, swimming, etc. I decided that this little album would be perfect for the theme! I used little bears from the Clubhouse Gang Dress Up pattern collectionn from LSHD. Make sure you check out the Little Scraps Of Heaven Design Team Blog to join in on next week's challenge with us!

This album is now available for purchase in my etsy shop :)

Kit Crazy!!!

Happy Tuesday everyone! I have some exciting changes to tell you all about! First off, I have decided to completely stop selling my scrapbooks on ebay. With a sad heart, this also means that I am leaving the MOMZ design team there. After much thought and debate, I decided that it's the best move for me right now since sales for me on ebay have been so poor lately. However, I'm not going to stop selling! That just means I will be filling my etsy shop with more goodies!

Speaking of goodies... I worked really hard yesterday and LOADED my etsy shop with some new kits! I know you all love those DIY kits so I am trying things a little different. These are all still buy 3 get 1 free and I intend to keep that promotion going for a while. All of my kits used to be the same price, but I took some suggestions from customers and decided to offer a variety of kits at a variety of different prices. All newer & popular paper lines/larger kits will be $18. That means I will be offering more kits with papers from Basic Grey, Graphic 45, DCWV, etc. All kits made with paper lines that are a little older or kits that are a medium size will be $15. And all other kits will stay at $12.50, these will include most of the licensed kits as well (Disney, Hello Kitty, Hannah Montanna, Dora, etc).

Here's an example of the $18 kits:

Here's an example of the $15 kits:

Here's an example of the $12.50 kits:

Make sure you check out my etsy shop for all of these great DIY kits! I will try to add more on a weekly basis. If there is a theme/paper line that you would like for me to make a kit out of, please let me know!

Happy Mother's Day!

Happy Mother's Day to all of you wonderful Mommy's out there! I hope you all had a fabulous day! My husband took me out to dinner last night and then today we had his family over and had a wonderful dinner! It was a beautiful day too! I'm so glad the rain is over, for now!

I made my mom and mother in law matching cards and I think they turned out cute! The paper that I used is from the Sultry line by Basic Grey. The paper piecing is one of the bears from the Fairy Bears pattern collection from Little Scraps of Heaven Designs. The Mother's Day digi stamp is also from LSHD. You can find digi stamps for FREE on Tricia's blog! They are super cute too, so check it out!

Here's a close up of the card that I gave to my mommy.

And here's a close up of the card that I gave to my mother in law.

I hope you all had a great weekend and a Happy Mother's Day! Thanks for stopping by!
